🌱 The Environmental Management Industry Club (EMIC), The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), held its monthly meeting for September, with the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) invited to present and introduce the project:
“Thailand Life Cycle Inventory Database & GHG Emission Factor: Guidelines for Developing Thailand’s Life Cycle Inventory Database and Greenhouse Gas Emission Factors”
The session was presented by Dr. Nongnuch Poolsawat, Senior Assistant Research Director, Sustainable Development Informatics Institute, who provided information on the project, jointly implemented by MTEC and the Department of Industrial Works (DIW).
The meeting was also honored by Dr. Sirikarn Luangskul, Director of the Division of Industrial Environmental Technology Promotion, who shared additional information on the Department of Industrial Works’ role and missions in promoting environmental technology.
The project aims to develop a national database of greenhouse gas emission factors associated with different industrial waste management and disposal methods. The database will provide comprehensive and sufficient information to support the development of Thailand’s National Life Cycle Inventory (LCI), while also supporting innovation to increase the value of industrial waste and promoting waste management approaches that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
📌 Meeting Resolution:
The meeting agreed that MTEC will issue an official invitation letter to EMIC member companies to provide further details on the project’s objectives, implementation period, and participation requirements, allowing each company to consider its participation accordingly.
