On Tuesday, 12 May 2026, from 08.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., at Phayathai 3 Meeting Room, Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, Bangkok, a meeting of the Environmental Partnership Network was held to drive industrial waste management toward End-of-Waste.
The meeting was organized to promote collaboration among government agencies, the industrial sector, research institutions, and environmental network organizations in advancing industrial waste management under the circular economy concept. The initiative aims to add value to waste by transforming it into raw materials or new products, reduce environmental impacts, and support the Net Zero target.
The event featured presentations on operational plans from relevant agencies, along with a summary of collaborative approaches to drive concrete and sustainable implementation. Dr. Julapong Taweesri, Advisor to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry on Environmental Management, delivered remarks on the importance of establishing the Environmental Partnership Network to drive industrial waste management toward End-of-Waste.
Representatives from various organizations also presented their respective action plans related to driving industrial waste management toward End-of-Waste, including:
- Department of Industrial Works
- Department of Primary Industries and Mines
- Pollution Control Department
- Sustainable Waste Management Association
- National Science and Technology Development Agency, among others
On this occasion, Mr. Teerapon Tiwarasin, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries and Honorary Chairman of the Environmental Management Industry Club, delivered a presentation on the topic “Moving Toward a Sustainable Industrial Future with FTI”, presenting FTI’s action plan and activities to support the transition of industrial waste management toward End-of-Waste.
